I don't like this article but it is a important topic to discus. I think this type of incident macks video games look bad and macks video gamers look like obsessed crazes, not that this person wasn't. I don't see how he could play for 18 hours straight without eating or going to the bathroom, but this further proves he is addicted and I think he needs some help. Video games are fun but if someone is that addicted to them than they have serous problems and need to seek help before it is to late. This is the type of thing that gives video games a bad rep amongst parents. Some of them think that video games are to violent and promote violence and in some people it dos but video games are pastimes and most video gamers can play Halo 3 and walk away like they just watched a good move but the exceptional few can't and should be helped with a problem they have before it is to late and they fly of the hook like Daniel Petric and ruin their own life as well as other peoples.

17 year old Daniel Petric killed his Mother and wounded his Father over a dispute about his Halo 3 game. Daniel is a addicted gamer who sometimes plays 18 hours a day. In Cort he was described as a "cold calculating killer" by prosecuting attorney Anthony Cillo. His only defence was that his youth and addiction to the game made him less responsible. Daniel used a 9 mm hand gun and when he left he only took his Halo 3 game.
